For 2019, we will run one Alpha Course which will begin shortly after the Easter Weekend.

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over ten weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone is welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes – you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a presentation and good conversation.

We start each Alpha Course evening with tasty dinner to set the stage for the evening. Dinner tickets are sold at R39 per meal. Having dinner is optional but we do to encourage it as it is just a nice way to start an Alpha evening!
The sessions are designed to engage and inspire conversation. These are presented by way of the Alpha Film Series DVDs are around twenty-five minutes long. They explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions from “Who is Jesus?” and “How can we have faith?” to “Why and how do I pray?” and “How does God guide us?”
Small group discussion (good conversation)
Probably the most important part of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and simply discuss it in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say (seriously). It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment. Worldwide, over 30 million people have done the Alpha Course to date. The Alpha materials are printed in over 112 languages and the Alpha Course is run in over 170 countries in the world. For more information, please contact Tessa on 011 706 7565 or
